The NY Obesity Prevention Center for Excellence (OPCE) strengthens the collective impact of grantees and their partners in improving New Yorkers' health by increasing access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity.

  • The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has been working to eliminate obstacles to physical activity and increase safety, convenience, and mobility for all residents through events like El Barrio Bike Bash in East Harlem and the Prescribe-A-Bike program in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
