The UMass Prevention Research Center will present on their research to engage local health departments in built environment decision making at the local level to improve physical activity opportunity. Using an Expert Panel process they developed a set of capabilities for departments of varying resources and surveyed a sample of departments about their experiences with the capabilities as well as preferences for training and technical assistance.
