May 9, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Friends of the Earth and Tisch Food Center are pleased to invite you to the Northeast Greening School Food Forum

*Register today to secure early bird pricing*

This is the third in a series of regional forums around the country on healthy, climate-friendly food service! A cost-effective approach focused on:
plant-forward menus
reduced food waste
innovative educational and student engagement strategies

Leading foodservice professionals from Northeastern school districts will share successful strategies for promoting climate-friendly, plant-forward menus and implementing waste reduction in their cafeterias.
National and regional nonprofits will discuss resources and map out strategies and policy reforms to scale up climate-friendly school food.
Forum participants will share their experiences, gain valuable information and cultivate new relationships in several round-table discussions.
Foodservice professionals have a profound opportunity to shift the food service industry toward healthier, more sustainable practices, while supporting healthier diets and improving their bottom lines.
Connect with valuable new resources and learn how different school districts are successfully shifting menus toward plant-forward options and increasing sourcing from local, organic farms as a powerful lever for positive environmental and health outcomes.
Create new relationships with your peers and hone your leadership skills towards building a generational shift in food awareness and consumption habits.

WHO: Any and all stakeholders in K-12 foodservice are welcome*:
