APP Learning Collaborative Kick-Off: Health Communications May 24th, 11:30pm-1:00pm EDT Public healthcare practitioners must not only find communications solutions that deliver information about their services, but build dynamic, sustainable relationships that are community-centric. This webinar will provide participants with an overview of social marketing communications and offer tips to public health practitioners in New York State on how to establish brand identity in ways that convince, persuade, and inspire communities to make meaningful improvements in their health. Audience: Staff from Local Health Departments (LHD), Hospitals, Local Governmental Units (LGU), and Community-Based Organizations (CBO) Learning Objectives: After participating in the webinar, you will be able to: Use Social Marketing for health promotion; Understand the basics of branding and the benefits of applying them to health communications; Utilize the four Ps of marketing to achieve social good. (Product, Price, Promotion, Place); Create a health brand in your county by moving beyond a focus on individual behavior towards a wide range of social and environmental interventions; Build a Health Promotion identity in ways that consumers will seek your advice.
